Millions of Indians travel every day in Indian Railways. Though, a Train Journey is said to be one of the most complacent ways of travelling, no one has been comfortable with the food served there. Even after years of complaining about poor quality of food, this state has not changed.
Now it’s time for a change, to put an end to all this boring Railway food. From Monday, 20th June, people travelling in Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express will get a chance to pre-order their food to get it served directly to their seat.
IRCTC has tied up with leading food chains across India including KFC, Domino’s Pizza, McDonalds, Bikanerwala, Haldirams to provide travelers with delicious food during transit.

Ways to Order food:
- You can directly order online at website http://www.ecatering.irctc.co.in by entering your PNR no, select your choice of food and place your order. You will receive One Time Password (OTP) for your food order.
- You can order in your non-smart phone by dialing ‘1323’ and placing your order. Your OTP will be verified in your registered mobile number. Payment can be done by ‘Cash on Delivery’.
- You can also order via SMS, type “MEAL” followed by your PNR Number and send the message to 139. Your OTP will be verified in your registered mobile number. Payment can be done on Delivery (COD).
